Rapid Climate Shift

Scenario: Scientists and activists (maybe or maybe no on the fringe), arguing that there is strong evidence that tipping points have been breached likely leading to rapid changes in the climate within the next decade along with rapid acceleration in the frequency and intensity of severe weather events. Governments and scientists counter argue that the climate is not capable of such rapid change and thus the 2050 target for net zero by 2050 is still the correct timeframe. Ice/sediment cores however indicate that this may not be the case - and the climate does indeed seem to be displaying a rapid shift…
